Gods Instrument School of Dance Non-Profit Prom Drive hopes to provide formal wear to young men and women for local high schools, alleviating the often prohibitive costs of attending their Prom. Although our core mission is to Reach one, Teach One and  Move One through the Art of Dance we've decided to Incorporate another community project. This Spring, we will have a One day Prom Pop Up Shop in our Community on April 13th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and April 14th in Amite, Louisiana for students to find their perfect Prom outfit. We're thanking everyone in advance for donations from our community. For this drive we envisioned a wide selection of Dresses, Blazers and Tuxes for students to choose from. The project, which relies almost exclusively on donations from individuals and businesses, launched on Feb. 14th. Please Note, Formal wear items, which must be dry-cleaned and placed on clothes hangers, can include long and short dresses. Monetary contributions and donations of other items such as gift certificates to restaurants, beauty salons and for limousine or photography services also assist the "Dress & Blazer Drive" Project. Any high school girl in financial need who presents valid school identification is eligible to attend. Volunteers are also needed to assist with the project please don't hesitate to reach out to us regarding this life changing event.
